When Nick reached out to Fortius he never stepped foot in a gym before! He was what you would call a total newbie to the fitness world! Nick's objective was to learn how to lift weights safely, build muscle while achieving fat loss. Never in a million years did he dream that he would literally reach a cover model shape in just 12 weeks with the help of his personal trainer Aleks!

Onboarding process with Fortius Dubai
Nick did some comprehensive online research to see who can help him with weight training and provide some sound nutritional advice. Upon stumbling on our website he saw a few of our clients success stories and decided to submit a web application for a free consultation.
During the consultation we did a measurement to assess current body fat levels, nutritional habits, previous training experience and health status. After this stage we curated a 12 week plan, sent a proposal and that is how Nick's journey with Fortius Dubai started.

As a part of the onboarding process, 1st step is to help our clients set attainable goals based on their current training experience, health status, number of weekly hours they are able to devote to their journey and the time frame in which they want to reach their goals. A crucial part of that is establishing targets in terms of caloric intake and macronutient intake, which is the amounts of proteins, carbs and fats they will have in their diet. Nick did not want to prep his food on his own so we calculated his requirements and set him up with a meal prep company Fuel Up by Kcal that was in charge of meal delivery.
When it comes to training Nick started working out with one of our youngest yet very skilled and experienced body transformation coaches. Coach Aleks is a body transformation specialist with certification from NASM and with over 4 years of experience in the industry. Nick and Aleks were doing a 3 sessions a week routine which consisted of the following split:
Day 1 - push/pull
Day 2 - full legs
Day 3 - shoulders & arms
Nick's progress
Muscle Gain: +3kg
Fat Loss: - 4kg
Chest Circumference: + 3cm
Waist Circumference: - 4.5cm
Pull Ups: at the start 1-2 reps, now able to do 3 sets of 10 full range pull ups
Push Ups: at the start 10 reps, now able to do 35 reps in one go
Barbell Squat: never done a barbell squat, now squatting 70 kilograms for 10 reps

I only need to lose fat in certain parts of my body, can you focus on that?
That is not how the human body functions. When you are in a caloric deficit, meaning you consume less calories than you burn you will lose fat, but you can not manipulate manually via specific exercises in which part of your body you want the fat first to go. That will depend on a variety of factors, mostly your genetics.
What kind of meal plans do you curate for your clients?
We create calorie counted meal plans with a specific macronutrient ratio based on clients objectives and personal preferences, meaning that we play with carbs and fat amounts based on your personal presence. Based on our current data clients that commit to work with a meal prep company or prep their food are 80% more likely to see better results than their counterparts that eat intuitively.
What is the maximum muscle I can put on in 12 weeks?
The amount will vary from person to person depending on multiple factors. If you are a beginner and you train hard 3 times per week and ensure adequate protein intake and maintain a slight caloric surplus you could potentially build 1-1.5kg of lean muscle per month.
